{I am in love with these gorgeous chevron mirrors!}
Most of you are probably familiar with the ultra-stylish Judy Aldridge of Atlantis Home and her uber-chic daughter, Jane of Sea of Shoes. This Dallas mother/daughter duo has taken the fashion blogging world by storm. Their blogs are incredibly popular and have been featured in nearly every fashion magazine, including Vogue. Their home is featured in the current issue of FD Luxe and it is just as chic as you would expect. There is a a definite glamorous bohemian vibe and the ladies’ love of accessories is as evident in their decorating as it is in their wardrobes. Alrdrige turned to Samantha Reitmayer Sano of Style/Swoon to help carry our the vision for her home. The result includes a glamorous mix of mirrors, horns, brass, lucite, and various fabrics.
{Aldridge already owned this lovely daybed from the 1960s. Sano had it recovered in this gorgeous emerald mohair.}
{This vignette features the book, Gypset Style, which is a perfect match for this home. Gypsy meets glam with a boho twist…it’s all here!}
{If you watch The Rachel Zoe Project, then you know that Zoe’s home is decorated in a very sleek, minimal style. However, if I didn’t know that, I would totally envision her home like this. It is the embodiment of eclectic, chic, 1970s-influenced style.}
{Aldridge’s dining room features black Philippe Stark Ghost Chairs, a rustic table, and vintage lamps and accessories.}

I do not care for the way they decorated they house. I loved they way it used to be so much better.
The home is beyond stunning. There is a charming surprise around every corner. Pictures can't entirely do it justice as there is such a sense of space as one is completely engulfed in lovely and exotic things. It's the perfect dose of glamorous eclecticism that only happens when you pair two of the right creative brains together to create magnificence.
Can you share where they got the mirrors bracketing the fireplace?
Wow, that daybed is too fabulous!
Thanks for sharing these glamorous photos :)
that place is insane- i'm dying over all the detail - it's amazing!

Isn't Sam AMAZING! She's been a friend of a friend for years but in the last year she's become a friend of mine! My BF in Dallas (the friend link) went to the party at the Aldridge's house put on by FDLuxe and she said it was nothing short of glamourous and unique and totally fitting to Judy's personality and taste. Sam has such an eye for detail and drama and I love that every touch seems personal.
Absolutely stunning.x
Although glamorous, to be sure, the home feels a bit pretentious to me ... Where exactly does one get comfortable? Frankly, it also looks outdated, despite the incorporation of some more modern silhouettes and designs (love those chevron mirrors -- and the "design" of the fireplace wood is wonderfully clever). There are some great touches, but it is much too cluttered and confused ... Not very cohesive.
Just one gal's opinion, though! Love your blog; keep all the great features comin'. :)
I saw this home on another blog just last week and fell in love with it! It's a little more quirky than I usually like, but there's just something about the combination of elements that makes me fall in love!
I agree with you - love those chevron mirrors.
What a GORGEOUS home created by the always amazing Sam Sano and inspired by Judy Aldridge! A match made in design heaven =)
Oh wow! I hadn't seen these before, thanks Paloma! That is as close to perfect as it gets for interiors, if you ask me. But then that's hardly surprising.
I'm enjoying a long overdue catch up on LDV as we speak... Great stuff.
