Jet Set: Ett Hem Stockholm

http://www.cntraveler.com
Hello LDV readers! Brendan here of (BAD) Blog About Design. For this Jet Set post I decided to take us to wonderful Stockholm. The Ett Hem is a small hotel that features 12 suites, located in what was once a private residence. The hotel is an uber luxury take on the B&B concept. At the hotel guests are treated like friends (according to their website) and can enjoy goodies in the fridge, borrow a car, or open a bottle of wine, sounds pretty good to me! The best part is the hotel is a 10 minute walk to the center of Stockholm. Tons of shops, places to eat, and things to do right around the corner. (ABOVEI love the idea of visiting such a beautiful city and being able to stay in quaint, small hotel. You really get a feel of what's it's like to live like a local. The architecture of the hotel is stunning, it was designed in the early 20th century. (BELOW 1) At the back of the hotel is this fantastic garden. Sit back and read a book or just soak in the nature. The garden has such a quaint feel, sitting back here you feel like you're at someone's private residence. How great is that door that opens to the street? (BELOW 2) The Green Room opens up to the back garden. In the Green Room you can sit back and relax on the sofa, or eat breakfast at the table (yes, breakfast is included)! I love the laid back relaxed feel of the space. (BELOW 3) In the lounge one can relax in one of the those awesomely cool green arm chairs, Danish armchairs, or sofa. The space feels like a Living Room! (BELOW 4) The library is stock full of books in different languages, and about different topics that one can borrow. I love the pop of red from that arm chair! (BELOW 5) A guest suite. The space is very neutral, not full of patterns and color. A great place to come back to after a busy day touring the city. The wood burning fireplace to the left is an added bonus. (BELOW 6) The best part about the larger suites are these bathrooms. Who wouldn't want to be soaking in that tub? What do you think of the Ett Hem? Have you been here before?
