Mellow Yellow

There are so many fantastic elements in this living room. My favorite would have to be the two framed pieces of Donghia's Suzani fabric.

The home of Canadian House & Home designer, Emily Walker has quickly propelled itself to the top of my list of favorites. It was once a run down-bungalow until Emily and her partner, Mark Holden transformed the 900 square-foot space. While it is small in size, it is packed to the gills with style. It feels exactly as it should: young, fresh, and current. Emily selected a bold color palette that is carried through the entire house. Using shades of grey, yellow, and purple, she provides visual impact and manages to unify the space. The end result is crisp, young, and all-around inspiring!

I love the zig zag rug used in the kitchen. Does the framed print mean that Emily isn't a good cook?

I love the use of a modern, stream-lined table in conjunction with antique chairs that have been completely modernized with a coat of paint and new upholstery.

This little sitting room is fabulous! There are so many great details.

This home is a testament to the fact that a coat of paint can make a huge impact.

Despite the rich, deep grey color of the walls, the room doesn't feel moody at all. Emily makes it feel vibrant through her use of color and accessories.

I think that using a graphic wallpaper in this tiny bathroom was a great idea. Not only does it provide visual impact and style, it also draws the eye up, making the space feel larger than it truly is.

Oh, I agree!! What it lacks in space, it makes up for in smart styling! I'm from Toronto, Canada...and houses here in the hip, downtown neighbourhoods are tiny and expensive! So, I can totally relate to this!

I can't believe this is all in one home. I had to go back and check 3 times. It is simply amazing. I need to tie the rooms in my house together better...

Oh yeah - this was a fun issue. My girlfriend bought it on the fly because she loved the artwork haging over the sofa.. I think it's a rug of some sort. Anyway, she replicated it in 3 square acrilic paintings.. It's fabulous. It's funny where we take inspirations isn't it? Fantastic Space

cute pics --- I definitely should get the "I'm so sorry" print for my kitchen! I definitely need to apologize for my lack of cooking talents!
