This week’s “Fabulous Room” comes from the pages of the new March issue of Atlanta Homes & Lifestyles. Inspired by the work of legendary interior designer, Dorothy Draper, the homeowners worked with designer, Craig Duncan to add a touch of glamorous Regency style to their outdoor cottage. Instead of adding a traditional porch to their Atlanta home, they opted for a free-standing, screened-in porch and approached its décor as if it were a room inside of the main house. The result is chic and glamorous while being well-suited to its outdoor locale.
{I absolutely love the shade of red selected for the classic Chippendale chairs. Other classic elements in the space include the checkered marble floor, French-style chairs, and a blue and white porcelain collection.}
{The space is perfectly suited to entertaining outdoors. There is plenty of room to serve dinner and eventually, move to this sitting area for cocktails and conversation. Notice that the crisp fabric selection consists of neutrals, providing an ideal backdrop for the colorful accessories selected by Duncan.}
{Have you ever seen such a charming porch? I love the fretwork on the door and railings.}
Have a fabulous weekend!

Can we just move in to this charming yet very chic cottage? Love the red chairs, they make the space & who wouldn't want to have cocktails while relaxing on this porch?!
Paloma, I adore this room; I can envision spending lots of time there. The fireplace is a great addition as well.

I'm loving all the outdoor design popping up right now! We're actually doing a feature on our facebook and google+ pages on indoor/outdoor fabrics with a resort theme. They would be great as accents or if you're looking for something colorful! Gorgeous photos!
Those chairs are AMAZING! I definitely agree with xo J and V, can we just move in?
I LOVE Black and White checkered floors!
Yes, I love the black/white checkered floors along with those chippendale chairs, so chic!
