Honey, I’m Home!

While perusing the Houston real estate listings as I do at least once a week, I came across this amazing home designed by Robert Dame and built by Silverwood Builders. I love that it is a new construction home with the charm and character of a home built in the 1920s. It’s always great when form meets function. Now granted, I am not currently in the market for a new home, but it’s fun to dream! I am always finding homes that send my mind racing with possibilities for the future, but I am feeling especially inspired by the bones of this lovely, English-inspired home. So much so, that I have plenty of ideas for how I would decorate it. I’ve decided to give myself a fun little challenge and will be creating a mood board for each room. Stay tuned to see what I come up with!

{I love the paneling and windows in the study. I could certainly picture myself working and writing in this space.}

{I love the beamed ceilings throughout the home and love that the family room and kitchen open up onto one another.}

{The kitchen is one of my favorite spaces in the home. I love the cabinetry, abundance of storage, windows and the huge island.}

{The dining room features a Paris Flea Market Chandelier from Circa Lighting.}

{Wine Cave}

{The Media Room}

{A Second Look at the Media Room- It actually seems like a very large space with plenty of room for children to play.}

{The mudroom features great built-ins and antiqued-brick floors}

{I love the large windows and beamed ceilings in the family room.}

{The vaulted, beamed ceilings and French doors continue into the large master bedroom.}

{More beautiful cabinetry and a free-standing tub in the master bathroom.}

{Lovely Loggia}

{The backyard features plenty of room for a pool.}

Could you picture yourself in this home?

Yes, Paloma, lovely home for sure. I am so happy Charnwood is being updated with all the beautiful new homes in place of the ranchers from the 50's. It's a treat to drive through now. Sending love, honey-bunny...

Love the paneling in the study! Isn't it fun looking at blank spaces and imagining how you would decorate it?!

Beautiful! I'm always afraid newly constructed homes have no "character" but this one is so thoughtfully put together. Love it! Thanks for sharing.

Wow. I would live in it bare! What does a home like this cost in that area?

Completely dreamy. I love how open it is. That mudroom would be great for my future kiddos. I'd pay double if I could and had to!

Words cannot express the love I have for HAR! Love the detailing of the beautiful archways throughout the house.

Just last weekend my husband and I were driving around house hunting and wound up in Charnwood. Definitely out of our price range, but beautiful homes on great sized lots (for Houston).

We just sold our house in Northern California for that price and it's half the size at 2200 sq ft! I'm trying to convince my husband to move to Houston as I write!!!

I am so glad that someone else browses the real estate section of the paper/online as often as I do. I am nowhere near ready to purchase a home, but I might consider relocating for this one. I agree with Amber Interiors, linen, cognac leather, and gold...

Looking at each picture I was measuring, space planning, picking area rugs, sofa seating, case goods,dining tables, lamps etc, not to mention drapery designs.
What an amazing home this is going to make for anyone who purchases it and decorates it with the help of a designer...
Would love to see the blueprints of this home to see how the flow would work.
