In a Glamorous State of Mind

I am super excited about a new design project for a fabulous, new client. Because my client is recently divorced, this house represents a fresh start so we are going super feminine and ultra glamorous throughout the home to truly reflect her style and personality. We want to keep the palette fresh and serene, but will definitely imbue each space with glamorous, statement-making pieces. While every room will get a dose of glamour, I can’t stop thinking about all of the fabulous possibilities for her kitchen and bathrooms, particularly the master bath which I plan to turn into a beautiful retreat for her. This is just a small sampling of the images that are currently inspiring me. For more, check out my Pinterest boards!

{One of my favorite houses of all time is the stunning Greenwich Village townhouse that Nate Berkus designed for Katie Lee several years ago. Sadly, she sold the house, but the beautiful images live on. Her master bath was everything.}

{The kitchen will be very classic—all of the cabinets will go white and the countertops will either be Carrara or Calcutta Gold Marble. I am toying with a few ideas for the backsplash and lighting, but this kitchen is definitely a big inspiration. It is so pretty!}

Do you have the credit for the picture of the kitchen with the marble and grey island? Thank you! I wanted to see more of the kitchen/house.

This is funny, Paloma. But I JUST got off the phone with a client who we are redoing her kitchen in this amazing post Renaissance neo-classical home built in 1900 and we were discussing the hood. We are using that kitchen with the unbelievable nickel hood as our inspiration. AND we are going to do a hood like that, as well. I just priced it out and its mucho bucks, of course, but I think it'll be very much worth it. best ~ Laurel
