This week’s “Fabulous Room” is the chic and eclectic bedroom of Andy and Kate Spade. This is exactly the type of room I’d like to spend some time in after a hectic week. Doesn’t it look inviting? I love the casual elegance of it all. It’s slightly decadent in sort of “undone” way and has a very “Royal Tenenbaums” vibe. All of the furniture silhouettes are classic, but the way in which the space is composed along with the stacks of books and casual white linens make it all feel so inviting. The grey-green grasscloth adds warmth and texture to the space while the bold black and white nightstand, and bright yellow and white-striped headboard add a modern, whimsical touch to the traditional furnishings. It’s such a great takeaway—you may just stumble upon a fabulous piece while vintage shopping this weekend that you can modernize and make your own through the use of color. I think Andy may have the right idea enjoying a cocktail in bed. Maybe I’ll give it a try this weekend! Happy Friday!

One of my all time favs. The color of the grass cloth is divine with the headboard color. Everything is just perfection!
