I am currently obsessed with this amazing living room by Coleen McGill. I first learned about this talented designer when my fellow High Gloss editor, Kyle posted about McGill on her blog, Knight Moves. I love the soaring ceilings and the beautiful moldings and trim work throughout the space. The bones of the room are beautiful, but the furnishings selected by McGill are even more breathtaking.
I love that everything is very neutral and that McGill chose charcoal grey as an accent color along with fuchsia peonies. Notice the beautiful lighting throughout the room.
This shot is so gorgeous! From the ikat print pillows to the peonies on the campaign table and the Chanel book, this is feminine perfection without being too frilly.

Those are just stunning! I really love the neutral backgrounds, they are layered with so much texture!
They remind me of Christine's home from bijour and boheme :)I will be bookmarking these for sure..Thanks!
So light and airy- beautiful.
Love, love, love this living room! xoxo Marie
Except for the ugly flat panel TV above the fireplace, it's a gorgeous room.
Beautiful room! so elegant but fun at the same time.
Really beautiful. I love how the height of the ceilings is accentuated by the tall window and the soft curtains. Those graphic pillows draw you right in.
I love how they made the TV completely unobtrusive by blending it into the style of the room!
a very small parlor, in the best sense of the word, a room to invite conversation and intimacy. love it!
So elegant, but with an attitude. I love it!
Love the millwork and soaring ceilings.
Cheers,
Claudia

Picture perfect. The furnishings enhance the architecture. So glad to learn about Colleen McGill!
Love this room! Great way to position the furniture in front of the fireplace. I have a bench too that I'm not sure sure how to position, but this is a good idea. Thanks!
I love Colleen! Her work is amazing and she is such a sweet person too!! I had the pleasure of doing a Q & A with her, I think we can learn so much from her sophisticated and feminine style. http://marcusdesigninc.blogspot.com/2010/11/q-with-colleen-mcgill.html

One of my hands down favorite rooms ever. I always come back to this room for inspiration for my entire home. I love the architectural detail in the paneling on the walls - I love the subtle colors and the pops of pink in the details.
