New York Fashion Week: The Tents
Earlier this afternoon, I watched an advance screening of the new documentary, The Tents, which gives fashion lovers a behind-the-scenes look of the legendary tents at Fashion Week when it was held at Bryant Park. The film will air on the Documentary Channel this evening at 8:00 pm EST. The Tents includes first-hand accounts from fashion power players like Fern Mallis, Betsey Johnson, Glenda Bailey, Donna Karan, Carolina Herrera, Tommy Hilfiger, Isaac Mizrahi, and Hal Rubenstein of what it was like being a designer or editor before New York really had an official fashion week in one unified location. It is fascinating and wildly entertaining. You can get a sneak peek in the trailer I am sharing here, but I highly recommend this to anyone who has a love affair with fashion, so be sure to catch it on the Documentary Channel when it starts airing tonight!

I watched this last night thanks to your recommendation and loved it. I had no idea that the first time NYFW was truly unified and organized was after the shows were held in Bryant Park. I found the documentary so interesting. Thanks for sharing this!
