Do Tell: What are your favorite beauty products?

I’m always eager to try new beauty products, whether it’s a new face cream, bronzer, or shampoo. I love it all! What can I say? I was raised by a mother who never left the house without make-up. I have followed suit and rarely go anywhere without having “my face on”. I’ve only been known to go out sans make-up when I’m en route to the spa for a facial or if I am having surgery. I believe in making the effort to pull oneself together each day-- I put on make-up and do my hair every day. I just feel better about myself when I am “done”. I’ve been wanting to mix up my routine lately so I’d love to know what your favorite beauty products are. What are your beauty must-haves? Why do you love them? Any advice for anti-aging products now that I’m 30? Which item(s) could you not live without?

I couldn't agree more, I like getting up in the morning and making the effort to look polished and put together! I love just about any Bobby Brown makeup, her products are so light and airy. For my hair, I love moroccan oil, it adds shine and smoothness that I love!!!

I love The Body Shop Massage Oils. At the moment, I am using 'Harmonizing'. I have dry skin and use it on my face and body. It's also great on cuticles. The fragarence is soothing and it absorbs quickly into the skin.

By far my favorite product is my Clarisonic! I don't have bad skin, per se, but it really gets my skin clean and buffs off any dead skin...allowing my make-up to go on much smoother. I'm only 29, but I've been told that it helps regenerate your skin cells much faster, helping prevent wrinkles a little too.

I hate to say it, mostly because I thought it would be a fad, but I am addicted to my Clairsonic. After 4 months with it, I've honestly watched little lines disappear from my face! Between that and the regular old Dove body bar, I'm pretty much set for life! :)

I'm with you on trying new products. I can't ever leave the house without mascara on so I constantly test those out. Lately I've been loving the Covergirl long lasting lash in the orange tube. It makes your lashes look like they are a mile long! So pretty :)

I've recently started using Aveda products. I am in love with their shampoo (which smells AMAZING), and cleanser (Tourmaline Charged Exfoliating Cleanser). I still use Oil of Olay moisturizer w/SPF(Aveda's felt so heavy).

I swear by the entire Skin Ceuticals line! I also recently discovered Dior Forever foundation. It is incredible- lasts ALL day. Honestly, I had heard that claim from other beauty products but never seen it happen. Plus, the foundation has a SPF!

I've been enjoying using Emma Hardie cleansing balm and a Caudalie serum and moisturiser recently. If you don't already read it, I would recommend www.beautymouth.com for recommendations.

i've been trying to clean up my beauty routine little by little. i have to say that Kahina Argan Oil has been my favorite product so far! it sounds weird to put "oil" on your face, but i have combo skin and have noticed it balances everything out. great stuff.

Lately I've really ramped up my morning regimen (started a new job :) and have discovered several amazing products. #1) Tri Professionals Aero Body Infusion---world's BEST volumizing spray. Seriously. #2) Tresemme Thermal Creations Instant Heat Tamer Spray--spray on before blow drying or using heat products, it makes my hair so shiny and protected! #3) All of the Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stains. Love. #4) Covergirl Natureluxe Gloss Balms. With spf, and the prettiest sheer color.

I love hearing about new products--definitely will be following this comment thread :)

I love the Visoanksa products - I've thrown out everything else and only use her products. These products are all without the nasty ingredients and do deliver what they promise. I have to admit though that I have a problematic skin - always had, and her product do wonder...
Btw. I love your blog - it's very inspirational and always a pleasure to the eye :) - Monika

ohhhh one of my fave topics! I rarely put on my face since I work out of my house. Something I strive every day to change, and havent yet :/

I love my philosophy SPF moisturizer. Its cheap and its not greasy. I love Bobbi Brown eye cream and if I have extra money - I BELIEVE WHOLEHEARTEDLY in YSL Temps Majeur. I like La Mer in the winter, but its way too heavy for summer. And Seleta (simplyseleta) just turned me on to this Vitamin C face cream wash from Avalon organic stuff that is super cheap and I LOVE IT!

I do, however, need a good exfoliator! Any suggestions? Ive tried my mom's clarisonic but it leaves my skin a bit red (its sensitive)

Oh I am a product junkie and love to try new things too. A friend of mine gave me a "Birchbox" subscription. They send you a little pink box each month with samples of beauty products. I discovered the Boscia BB cream this month, and it's wonderful. I've been using Laura Mercier tinted moisterizer for years and I may switch over for the summer. the BB cream is light and airy and has a slight shimmer (not in a bad way). Not to mention it's all natural and has SPF 27.

It's so wonderful, so is Birhcbox!

Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant is a rice-based enzyme powder. It has a very fine texture and is not at all stripping. The perfect exfoliant. Nuxe products in general get rave reviews from me, but I have seen fast and dramatic results from the Creme Prodigieuse Anti-Aging Gentle Renewing Cream. If you have sensitive skin, Nuxe products are a can't miss.

These are the best products I've found that I've used for years: for skin care - AMORE PACFIIC, the whole line is fantastic, gorgeous on the skin, non-allergenic; for makeup - GIORGIO ARMANI, their mascara, foundation, lipstick, blush are all superb. They are a little expensive, but the quality and colors are lovely and worth it. Toothpaste - ELGYDIUM Antiplaque toothpaste, simply the best - your teeth will feel as if you just returned from the hygienist. For body scrub - OLE HENRIKSEN salt scrub - fabulous - rub on dry skin while standing in the shower, then shower off. For nails - cuticles SPA SYSTEME ERASE.

Like one of your readers, I've also made the switch to using Amore Pacific. Their line is incredible, with a great BB cream from a brand called Sulwasoo. I bought mine at Neiman's and really enjoyed it. They also have a great serum and firming cream that I also use about once a week.

I use anywhere from 8-12 products a day, and separate products for day and night. I started this after researching beauty trends in Asia and learning that women there take far greater care of their skin than women here. I think the same could be same for the French. I started using products from a place called The Face Shop, purchasing their cleansing lotion, rice toner and also essence. I used an emulsion cream from SK-II, and every few days, do a facial mask and the Midnight Recovery Oil from Kiehls. For puffy eyes, I use the Kiehls de-puffer, which has hibiscus. My diet has also changed, with me eating less processed items and more fresh produce and raw vegetables, which has made an immense difference on my skin over the past few months.

Hope this helps!

Without sounding too much like a commercial, my dermatologist recommended CeraVe cleanser and moisturizer. They are amazing and affordable.

I must admit, I'm a product junkie. But here are a few of my favs...for breakouts I use Neutrogena Facial Bar. For age prevention, I love Roc Multi Correction Eye Treatment. Along with these...for a light moisture, I like Clinique Moisture Surge and for those days when I need a heavier sun protection, I like Garnier Ultra Lift Serum + Moisturizer

i've been using VanyaRx. I buy it online (www.vanyarx.com) . Love it! Reasonably priced and products are great. Also, my daughter has had wonderful results with acne skin care products.

i highly recommend!

I love Clarins - their toners, cleansers, day/night creams, however not the eye creams. I think Shiseido makes some good eye creams, as well as Biotherm. Ole Henrickson vitamin C serum is great, also Peter Thomas Roth AHA/BHA gel. My esthetician is using this Italian brand - Dermophisiologique, so I'm also trying it out. Omega fish oil vitamins are great for skin and hair. Oh, there are just too many skin care brands and all of them are awesome!

Clarins UV Plus HP Day Screen SPF 40 facial sunscreen is amazing. You don't feel it or see it, and it actually makes makeup go on better. I've made it part of my morning routine so I never go out without sun protection on my face. It fights wrinkles and DNA damage too!

I have been using L'Oreal Revitalift since my early twenties, around my eyes every night. Now that I am in my late thirties, I look younger than all of my cousins, even those 10 years younger. They are all asking, "Why do you have no wrinkles?"
It's everywhere, and it is cheap, too.

Because I'm very tuned into the PH levels of my body...been trying to keep it balanced with food, water, and the beauty products I use also align with that philosophy...so here's my pick over the years.

Cetaphil cleanser, the best at removing eye make-up without burning your eyes...clears away all debris so gently.

Moroccan oil for hair.

Castor oil (cold pressed/organic/palm of christ) for healing skin, keeping eyebrow and eyelashes full....deep moisturizer..

Pure organic Coconut oil as an overall body moisturizer...after scrubbing with dry brush...showering with manuka honey soap...slathering this coconut oil all over is total bliss. Artisana Coconut butter is a favourite, also makes great lip balm.

Pacifica natural frangrances, favourite for this summer is Malibu Lemon...they don't mess with your hormones like most other synthetic colognes.

Spa-ritual vegan nail polish..the colors and names are so much fun...

Deodorant - L-occitane Verbena Cooling Deoderant Stick for summer
With no alcohol, parabens or aluminium salts.

and drinking lots of Fiji water...best beauty product out there..

Natura Bisse Sheer Cream is my number 1 fav. it's a moisturizer with a little tint (not a tinted moisturizer) kind of like a BB cream. AMAZING! Rilastil Long Lash mascara. Italian Co. best long lash mascara ive ever used. Philip B. Dry Shampoo-fantastic fragrance and does a great job. Becca Tinted moisturizer, Supracor exfoliating mitts (less expensive than a clairsonic and does a fantastic job. that's just a few!

So sorry girls but you need to research the ingredients in most of the products you are listing !! You are causing yourself HARM - possibly causing cancer ! Use ONLY essential oils - argan, rose hip, coconut, anything else has junk in it ! Get the FACTS pleeez - do NOT trust the people making the products whatsoever ....
