The Luxe Report: Watercolor Prints

watercolor
Hello, LDV readers. It's Rebecca from Young Sophisticates with another Luxe Report. With only a few days left before Valentine's Day, romantic, soft watercolor inspired prints are on my mind.

In the fashion world, Lela Rose watercolor print dress with the full skirt is completely beautiful and feminine. Art inspired prints, like Rodarte's spring collection inspired by Van Gogh, held a significant place on the spring 2012 runway. Why not embrace a sweet floral print done with a watercolor-like effect?

The look translates just as well to home decor. Instead of adding a watercolor painting to your living room, why not try the watercolor wallpaper trend?

The watercolor wallpaper, by Black Crow Studios, pictured below is the coolest new trend in interior design (e.g., it made interior designer Emily Henderson's short list). What do you think of watercolor inspired prints?

I'm so glad you did this post! I had come across that image somewhere and always wondered about it! I tucked it away and eventually the colors used in that installment inspired the direction we took in our guest room.

I've never really focused on watercolor before that these images make me want to! That dress is such a classic. I can see wearing it some place fancy like a country club or garden party.

Yes, yes, yes...I LOVE that wallpaper. I bet you could hire a local artist to paint a similar design for a lot less cash. I'm always in "Babe on a Budget" mindset...
