Fabulous Room Friday 04.16.10

bedroom saragilbane2

I am loving this gorgeous bedroom by interior designer, Sara Gilbane. It feels like a soothing sanctuary without looking sterile. The tufted, velvet bench and beautiful turquoise garden stools add a fabulous touch of color and texture. The wallcovering is fantastic! It is interesting and modern without looking overwhelming. The room feels vibrant and glamorous, but stays true to its most vital purpose as a respite from the chaos of everyday life.

Have a wonderful weekend!

This is beyond beautiful! I love how the wall paper adds interest but is still soothing and not overwhelming. And the color of that tufted bench is to die for! x

Such an eclectic mix of styles, pattern and color. I'm crazy over the tuften bench, but then it's velvet, and I'm pretty much crazy over velvet anywhere. I think the room says, smart, sophisticated and sassy!
