London, here we come!

After what has felt like a very stressful packing experience, we are finally heading to London in a few hours. We have a long list of things to see and do and are excited to not only experience one of the greatest cities in the world, but to spend some relaxing, quality time together. Please pray that we have a smooth flight and that our luggage arrives safely along with us. That always makes me so nervous! I will try to check in and post as soon as possible.

If you're a new reader, I'd like to invite you to check out the La Dolce Vita archives over the next few days. I am positive that you will find plenty of good reads and eye candy!

These gorgeous images of London are from Joep R. on flickr. Be sure to check out the rest of his albums. His work is beautiful.

Have a safe and wonderful trip! Travel tip: I've been to London several times and the last time I went, my luggage didn't make it for three days (even though I was early for my flight). Pack anything you absolutely can't live without in your carry-on. I had to make several trips to Boots, Selfridges, Marks and Spencer... just to get by.

Also, check with your airline, but on my return flight I was allowed only ONE carry-on (British Airways). Going from the U.S. to London you're allowed two carry-on items. There was no way I could stuff my handbag into my already stuffed carry-on. Luckily, there's a shop at Heathrow that sells black, expandable carry-on bags. I was able to fit both my carry-on and handbag into that miracle bag! Happy Travels!

I LOVE London and I visit it as often as I can (I'm actually going again in October). It's great to live in Europe cause everything is a two-three hour flight away. I've found your blog couple of weeks ago and I'm totally hooked :) Anyway, London - except those famous landmarks, be sure to check out Borough Market (one of the oldest food market, then Camden Town, Portobello Road Market. Go to Greenwich by boat, don't miss the Hyde Park... there are so many things to see and do, I could count til tomorrow. I'm sure you're have a great time! Greetings from Croatia
