Fabulous Room Friday 10.18.2013

This week's fabulous room is an elegant and glamorous dining room by Atlanta interior designer, Robert Brown. I was drawn to this room for its symmetry and classical elements-- urns on pedestals, a neoclassical mirror, a rich color palette, and a formal table and dining chairs. The thing that makes this room soar is the way in which Brown mixed in several glamorous elements-- the stunning and impressively-sized rock crystal chandelier, the bold antelope rug, and the wide, geometric trim on the curtains. The architecture of the space itself is already beautiful. It never hurts to start with great bones! Having said that, Brown designed a space that feels appropriate for the style of the home and takes it to a completely new, uber-chic level. I love it! Which element in this room are you most drawn to?

This is such an incredible room. The antelope patterned rug is a subtle animal print that doesn't stand out as much as zebra or leopard. I like the way it blends with the lightly colored wall and is broken up by the rich, dark hardwood floors.

I love the chandilier- it is exquisite. I don't like the head dining chair though. Yuck.

Love the chandilier. I don't care for the head chair though. It doesn't seem to work.
