While I was in Orange County for Design Camp a couple of weeks ago, I got to catch up with a lot of the editors at Luxe Magazine, including editor-in-chief, Pamela Jaccarino who also spoke at Design Camp. I also got a sneak peek of the national November issue which just hit newsstands. I was immediately drawn to this glamorous Manhattan apartment by one of my favorite designers, Celerie Kemble. I am always inspired by the way that Celerie gives a nod to decades past, even in the most modern environments she designs. As usual, she wasn't afraid to take risks and made some big and bold design decisions for this home. You'll find that the house is filled with color, textures, interesting art, and several statement-making moments courtesy of design indulgences like hand-painted Gracie wallpaper, interesting lighting, custom-made furniture, and some to-die-for brass and lucite bar stools from the 1970s that complement the stunning brass hood in the kitchen. Need I say more?
{I love the citrine and grey color palette in the living room which is amplified by the parchment and lacquer covered cocktail table. The furniture is upholstered in sumptuous Schumacher velvet.}
{The custom-designed brass hood and vintage brass stools are to die for.}
{The breakfast room features an Oly Studio dining table, vintage chairs swathed in Lee Jofa fabric, and a Jonathan Adler chandelier.}
{Almost everything in the dining room is antique or vintage, except for the gilded Oly Studio chairs which are upholstered in turquoise leather for a vibrant pop of color.}
{The study leans a bit more masculine than the rest of the house with its navy lacquered built-ins and sofa covered in navy Pindler & Pindler herringbone fabric.}
{The master bedroom is definitely feminine and glamorous. It feels a bit too feminine for my personal taste, but works quite nicely within the scope of the rest of the house.}
