Hello, everyone! Kelly of Fabulous K here, back with another issue of Color Dose. Today I wanted to share a color that I used to loathe: PURPLE! I'm not sure why I never liked it before, but slowly I find myself gravitating to multiple shades of this sophisticated hue. I have a soft spot for lilac; it's quickly becoming one of my favorites! What do you think of purple? Have you incorporated it into your decor?

Paloma I do love the various shades of purple and have my master bath in a light lavender, I love amythist, periwinkle and the combination of purple and white in designs like ikats and trellage.

It's funny because I never like purple until I got older. I have yet to work it into my decor but I just might.
In small doses it is fine,but I had a grandmother that I wasn't fond of that drowned every inch of her bedroom in it,so I am a bit turned off by it. The photos you have though are nice.

I love purple as long as it has a lot of grey in it (e.g. silvery lilac) or is very dark (e.g. plum or eggplant). I like the pinky purples in much smaller doses, like that piece of fan coral in the first picture.
Purple has started to make a comeback in my world too. It was a color I instantly gravitated toward throughout childhood and college and for some reason fell out of favor with me.
That rug (5) is to die for...

My daughter who is inlove with all things neon, just saw a bedroom set in these shades of purple, fell inlove, and totally flipped her taste. I think these purples are so universal, and I hope they stay around for a while! :)
