This week’s fabulous room comes from my talented blog friend, Bailey McCarthy of Peppermint Bliss. Bailey has a lovely blog, a hilarious sense of humor, and killer design talent. Her Chicago home was featured in Rue last year and just this week, she gave Design Sponge readers a glimpse of the amazing Austin home she revamped and completely transformed in less than a year. Bailey has an incredible knack for seeing the potential in a home. If you follow her blog, you’ve probably been enjoying the before and after posts on her Austin home, affectionately known as “George Banks”. The difference between the original and the finished product is astounding!
One of my favorite rooms in the home is baby Grace’s stunning playroom, pictured above. Umm, can we make this my playroom? I could totally set up shop here. All I’d need is some adult-sized furniture, a desk, and a bar cart—you know, to stay hydrated. The color palette is lively and fun, but what I love most is how sleek and chic it is. Take out the toys and the mini Eames furniture and you wouldn’t even know it was a playroom. It’s a room that works for kids of all ages. Bravo, Bailey!
