“There is nothing like staying at home for real comfort.”
- Jane Austen
The lovely Crystal, of Plush Palate invited me to share a room in my home with her readers. Of course, I couldn’t leave my own readers out, so I invite you to read my guest post and take a look at my humble family room which is a constant work in progress. I hope you like it!
Happy Monday!

I love it! There are so many things that speak to my ascetic, especially that lamp. *drool* Of course, I have the minimalist look going on that is known as baby-proofing. @@ Seriously, Paloma, surfaces you would think are safe, like...I don't know... the table behind the couch, totally aren't. One day it will look cool again... one day. Looking at this gives me something to look forward to.
Those chairs are amazing! And Tate is such a cutie :)
Just went over to check it. It all looks lovely! My favorite has to be those chairs. Amazing!
A great post Paloma...your room looks fab and that little Tate is a knockout, xv.
Thank you all so much! It's a little intimidating posting your own house when you post the gorgeous work of professionals on a daily basis.
Jenn, I'm glad you liked the chairs. The chairs are actually a dark chocolate color, but they do look black on film.
Love seeing "real" rooms, especially those belonging to my favorite bloggers. Thanks for sharing, Paloma! (And those refurbished chairs are fantastic!)
Thank you so much for sharing your family room with us! It's such a special honor to have it's debut on Plush Palate!
We love your style!
I thought what you did show was great. Not sure why you were nervous about showing it because there was nothing wrong with the pieces that you did show. maybe is a designer thing...but looked great.
looks great- love your chairs!
One of my favorite quotes :)
Love the chairs!
love the large coffee table--gives you plenty of space to showcase your favorite books!
Absolutely gorgeous and those chairs are amazing! Do tell, where can I find those lovely Penguin books?
I have the same Domino book on display in my bookcase and the same pattern on those chairs are on some throw pillows on my bed. And I absolutely love those books.
