High Point Recap No. 2

P1040649 {Wouldn’t you love to call this your bedroom?}

Our third day in High Point started off with a Blogger Breakfast at the gorgeous Hickory Chair showroom which was followed by a personal tour of the showroom led by the designers themselves. I was impressed not only by the gorgeous pieces and beautiful styling, but also by the fact that nearly every piece made by Hickory Chair is completely customizable. Dimensions, fabrics, finishes…you name it, they can make it however you like.

We started off in the front of the showroom with the private label collection which was introduced to us by the charming Ron Fiore, who serves as Creative Director of Hickory Chair and styled the enormous showroom. His idea for this market was to create a respite or sanctuary at market. He wanted a space that was soothing and different from the loud colors and patterns that he felt market would be saturated with.

P1040648

P1040650 Both of these lovely chairs are shown in “romantic smoke” colors as described by Ron. Gorgeous, don’t you think?

P1040658

Afterward, we moved on to Alexa Hampton’s section of the showroom which was so lovely. Alexa’s design sensibility is rooted in classicism. She likes clean lines, strong shapes, and unexpected details.

I adore this chair and think the color of the leather is just perfect.  P1040659

Alexa’s energy is infectious, though hard to match. It was difficult to get a picture of her when she wasn’t moving! She is extremely passionate about design and furniture that is well-proportioned. She made a very good point about people who have tall ceilings and go out and buy oversized furniture. Once they do that, they completely lose the effect of having tall ceilings to begin with.

P1040678

This ottoman is one of Alexa’s best-selling pieces. How beautiful are these barrel chairs? It took several attempts to get them just right.

P1040685

This table is a great example of how customizable Hickory Chair’s furniture is. We saw the same table in another part of the showroom in a round shape with a dark wood stain and completely different skirting. I happen to love it in white, though.

P1040703  A lovely vignette featuring a great mirror by Alexa Hampton

P1040712

Alexa loves designing beautiful chairs and occasional tables.

P1040717 Next, we moved on to Suzanne Kasler’s part of the showroom, which was a personal favorite of mine. While at dinner the previous night, the CEO of Hickory Chair, Jay Reardon let me know that he had chosen to seat me at the same table as Suzanne’s because he thought we shared a similar aesthetic, which was a huge compliment. Mr..Reardon’s intuition was right on the money!

P1040723

Suzanne’s pieces feature thoughtful, unexpected details such as this pale blue stripe in the skirting of this dining table.

 P1040724

I have been loving persimmon orange in décor for a while now, so I was head over heels for this room by Suzanne Kasler. I love that her designs are feminine with a touch of glamour, but have just enough masculine details to balance them out perfectly.

P1040726

These gorgeous gilded coffee tables can be used alone or paired together as shown here. I am all about the gold, especially in decor and big earrings!

P1040727

Suzanne Kasler is based out of Atlanta and I love that she takes the French Country influence that is so huge in the south, but infuses it modern touches and color to keep it from looking too predictable. I have the Quatrefoil floor lamp she designed for Visual Comfort in my family room, but mine is in the gilded iron finish.

P1040728 I seriously think everyone fell in love with this chair. Again, it features a perfect balance of masculine and feminine and the color is so sumptuous. I have a new chair crush!

P1040736

Suzanne is as sweet as she is talented. She is honestly one of the nicest people I have ever met and was so incredibly gracious. I am so happy to call her one of my style icons, especially after finding out just how nice she is. Her new book, Inspired Interiors is gorgeous!

Suzanne is able to make even a cool palette such as this one feel completely warm. I love all of the touches of glamour!

P1040746

Cute Ottomans… I love the shape.

P1040747

So many pretty details

Notice the legs on the console table and the trim on the mirror.

P1040749

The quatrefoil chair and shape in general are one of my personal favorites.

 P1040757

This is just a tiny portion of an amazing bedroom space designed by Suzanne Kasler at Hickory Chair. I seriously died when I saw it. She completely shut it down. If I could have packed it up and brought it all home, I totally would have. It was perfection! You’ll have to wait until tomorrow to see the rest of it though as it will be featured in this week’s “Fabulous Room Friday”.

 P1040762

This could possibly be one of my favorite cabinets in existence. Santa, are you reading this?

P1040763

This bed features beautiful cane panels.

P1040768  Another of my favorite casegoods which can be customized from the finish to the knobs.

Thank you so much for posting so many pictures! I adore Suzanne Kasler - so many beautiful things. I've been dying for a footstool in la fiorentina. And that casegood is one of my favorites (I've seen it with a lovely grey finish and bronze knobs that makes my knees buckle every time). Thanks again - you are one lucky lady!

Does anyone know where I can find those gorgeous blue vessels and candlesticks in the Kasler vignettes (or something similar)? Must. Have.

More gorgeousness. LOVE the Alexa Hampton white pedestal table...it would be PERFECT in my breakfast room (and I've been struggling to find something that would be; alas I'm guessing it's out of my price range). Also adore Kessler's quatrefoil chair.
