Fabulous Room Friday 02.01.13

Greetings from Design Camp! I'm having a ball in Atlanta learning some really valuable takeaways, networking, meeting new faces, and spending time with old friends. The first day of Design Camp was fantastic, so naturally, I'm excited what today has in store. This week's fabulous room is a glamorous bedroom with a nod to Chinoiserie and regency designed by Cecile Starin for the Marin Designers Showcase last year. Cecile used a great mix of classic and exotic elements along with various textures while keeping the color palette neutral, allowing the design details to really pop. The luxurious room features a zebra rug, tufted mustard ottoman, a fur throw and pillows, ostrich egg lamps, and a huge gilt sunburst mirror. The animal lover in me hopes these elements are all faux, but it makes for an aesthetically beautiful mix, no? One of my favorite features is the show-stopping silver leafed ceiling. What do you love most about this room?

Have a wonderful weekend!

I absolutely adore those ostrich egg lamps. Very unexpected and they look so cool. I also love the large gold sunburst mirror. The room is stunning overall.

It's hard to say, I love it all! But really like all of the plush textures!
