Currently Loving: Bold & Unusual Lighting

A driftwood chandelier graces the living room of Kay Douglass.

Normally, my taste in lighting gravitates towards more classic options, but I can't help but love the unique chandeliers and pendants hanging in the Atlanta home of South of Market owner, Kay Douglass. The unusual industrial and basket style fixtures perfectly complement the relaxed, almost beachy interiors resulting in an inviting and comfortably chic look.

I love so many things about this kitchen. The abundance of white, the basket fixtures, the gorgeous doors!

The breakfast room also features a basket lighting fixture and the gorgeous iron doors by Yong Pak.

Douglass brought the picnic table and benches back from a buying trip in France. How clever to use benches in place of traditional dining chairs!

The beautiful shape of the Ainsworth-Noah glass lamp is accented by a bright orange shade. The headboard is upholstered in dark grey wool and the industrial style cabinet used as a bedside table is vintage.

Fun accessories and a tangerine and white palette make Douglass' son's room stand out from most children's rooms. Again, I love the abundance of white accented with citrus colors in this home. If I didn't know it was in Atlanta's Peachtree Heights neighborhood, I would automatically assume it was a cheery beach house.

Particularly loving the driftwood fixture, I'm currently scheming up a way to diy a antler or twig type chandelier! Great inspirations, thanks!
