Ever since last month's devastating announcement that Domino was being shuttered, it seems that its loyal fans are trying to keep it, or at the very least, the memory of it, alive. Earlier today, I came across a picture of Drew Barrymore out on the town with a friend. She was wearing the cutest 60s-inspired dress (I am obsessed with all things from the 60s right now, i.e. Mad Men, music, fashion) and it got me reminiscing about the feature Domino ran on the stylish headquarters for her production company, Flower Films, about a year ago.
Drew partnered with Ruthie Sommers to create a space that is equally fabulous and welcoming. A perfect reflection of Barrymore's personality, it borrows from many styles, both old and new, resulting in a space that seems to exude the same warmth as her personality.
The inspiration wall changes with each new film.

I posted that I love the fabric on her sofa. I even tried to get in touch with her and her stylist because i need help. i finally found the fabric i love which is hers but the dang fabric is 438 a yard...not in my budget at all. if you see anything like the multi colored sofa on the cover please let me know....but not at that price..(winks)
I love that this space has ornate elements without looking stuffy or outdated. The sconce in the first pic is so pretty.
one of my FAVORITES!
Oh, please, please . . . make Domino's Greatest Hits a regular feature on your blog! And I gotta believe that if all the fans that are so upset by the news committed to paying $10 an issue for a less-frequent, but still-around edition of Domino, it could exist somehow!
I am so sad about Domino, too. But I have a feeling that when the economy bounces back, they might bring the magazine back. Supposedly the readership was strong, but the ad pages were down. Which is true for almost all mags now. So let's cross our fingers, it's happened before!
I love that article on her! Drew is one of those people who if I ever met I know we would be friends...I know I sound like a stalker.
This ways one of my favorite features!!! It's the one that really hooked me!
That kitchen's gorgeous. Bright green - who would've thought?
This was the issue that made me fall in love with Domino.
I Love that vintage glam girl...amazing taste. Thanks.
I loved that office, nice to see it again!
i like that casual photo wall..that's a fun idea and i like that yellow bathroom.
This was one of my Domino favorites as well. I just read Blume's "Let's Bring Back" book & she morns the loss of Domino as well.
