My 100th Post

Blogging has been one of my favorite things of 2007. It all started with browsing through other people's amazing blogs, most of which are listed in my favorites. Eventually, I felt inspired to start one of my own. It all started out of summer boredom, but quickly became one of my favorite hobbies. Thank you for your support!

Santa Came Early...

Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer isn’t the only one providing good lighting this year. Fabian and I had some pieces from Visual Comfort / Circa Lighting on our wish list. He brought them home and put them up a couple of days ago. I am so excited about these pieces!

This Week's Quote

My weekly quotes are usually meant to be somewhat inspirational or thought provoking. However, this week, I feel like posting something fun! If you have been watching season 4 of Project Runway, then you are probably familiar with over the top, Christian. He absolutely cracks me up! In the first episode, he said that his outfit was "a whole lot of look". I would have to say that Christian is "a whole lot of queen" and I love him for it!

The quote that most stands out to me from this week's episode was when he was pondering what the judges would think of his competitor's design. He said " You never know. The judges could die over it... or they could die from it."

I'm sure we will get many more memorable lines from Christian this season.

Where Does It All Go?

So, while we're on the topic of TV Chefs, I thought I would address a question I have been pondering for quite some time. Where does it all go? I am a big fan of Giada De Laurentiis. I think the girl can really cook, she's Italian, speaks Italian, and has an easy-going, fun-loving personality. I love Everyday Italian ( I got the most AMAZING turkey recipe from this show)and Giada's Weekend Getaways, in which she combines two of my great loves, travel and food. Has anyone ever seen Giada eat something really good, specifically chocolate? She gets so much joy out of it! It seriously cracks me up as she makes noises and says "Mmmmm!!". She seems to eat all kinds of great stuff on her weekend getaways, yet she stays so thin. How does she do it?

Let's move on to Exhibit B: Padma Lakshi of Bravo's Top Chef. Now, I don't really know what Padma's food is like as I really only know her as a judge on Top Chef. I'm not really a big fan as I think she is kind of snide. However, it's impossible not to notice her gorgeous, model good looks. So, back to my point. Where does it all go? I don't see any evidence of short ribs, pasta, chocolate, or cheese on either of these girls!
