This week’s “Fabulous Room” is this gorgeous kitchen featured in the new issue of domino. Naturally, it belongs to a woman who truly knows her way around the kitchen, Haven’s Kitchen founder, Ali Cayne. This stunning room is located in her West Village townhouse (cue a slight pang of jealousy!) and it is just gorgeous. I love the modern-meets-vintage vibe accomplished through a mix of design elements that feels very New York—white subway tile with dark grout, open brass and wood shelving, cabinets in the perfect shade of grey accented with delicious brass hardware, and a range and hood to die for. It’s all so classic, yet feels very fresh and of the moment. Seeing this kitchen really cemented my plan to do a similar color scheme in a new client’s kitchen.
{I love the strong, architectural feel of this room. How fabulous is the brass faucet? I also love that the grey cabinets match the window and door trim.}
{While I would never advise a client to make all of their storage open shelving, I do love the idea of doing a small section.}

I seriously COULD die over that brass oven -- have been oogling it all over the internet for days. Thanks for sharing!

very nice! we did that subway tile with dark grout in the kitchen in our last home and not only does it look great, it is so easy to maintain.
