It seems there are a ton of companies creating vinyl wall decals now. Some are a bit cheesy, while others are very original and work well in spaces like children’s rooms and nurseries. I just recently came across these headboard decals designed by Mina Javid for Blik and thought they were really clever. For only $40, you can have the look without making a big commitment to a piece of furniture. To be honest, I am not usually a fan of this sort of thing, but I have to admit that these headboards have made me think twice. What do you think? Would you try one of these in your home?
{The Nessa Headboard}
{The Olivia Headboard}
{Wrought Iron Headboard}
Each headboard is available in multiple colors and sizes.

These are crazy cute! I'm bookmarking this resource!
These are pretty cool! Would be great for a dorm room or college apartment.
These are cute!
They are relatively non-committal and yet add a touch of whimsy and graphic punch to a space.
I think they would work especially well in a sophisticated child or preteen's room.
And if you change your mind -- swish, and off it goes.
I love the "wrought iron" one-great idea for a guest room :)
I like the last one the best. Very cute
Agree with Sue....these would be fun in a dorm or college room...fun idea!
When on a budget like students often are, I think this is a fantastic solution.
These are so cute! Perfect for a small room when you want the look of a headboard but are maximizing space. Thanks for sharing! :)
I'm with you on the cheesy factor, but I also agree that these "headboards" are cute! I like the Olivia and Wrought Iron ones the best!
Unbelievably clever!
college dorm only ladies! Anywhere else and it is cheesy, cheesy, cheesy.
Cheesy or not - where is the function factor? What is protecting the wall from my head and my head from the wall? Love to read in bed, so thank you, but no...
Bozena, that is an excellent point!
I love seeing everyone's opinions on somthing like this. I think it is one of those things that illicit a visceral reaction.
I don't think I would do this in our master bedroom - it's just not what I would want for that space. But for a child's or guest room absolutely!
agreed that these would be cute in a dorm or kids room. however, i am really drawn to that yellow-maybe i just need to consider it (or the shape) for the upholstered headboard i've been meaning to get around to making for years now..
clever...
so perfect for the non-committal type. know i would walk into someone's room that had one and be envious in the good way:)
interesting. they do look nice. i think the darker ones seem more realistic. i am also loving the pink wrought iron one. i could not use these cause i have windows behind my bed.
^-^ oxox
I would try this in a guest bedroom, or in an office/guest bedroom..but not in my master. These are nicely done...not overly cheesy. I wonder if they have anything for doggy beds...that would be cute.
I'd love to try the Olvia in white against a black wall.
I like, especially for a guest room -- and I would've loved this as a poor college/grad student.
it's a fun alternative but i'd rather have the real thing :) for a fraction of the price though it's definitely worth considering for a tight budget!
LOVE them!!
Really cute. Especially for someone like my daughter... broke college student living in a rental. I'll pass this on to her. Thanks!
Blik has always dished out good wall fun, and these days they just keep getting better and better.
There were once some Blik fun for the car, too!
There is something incredibly charming about these. Would love to see one of the very simple silhouettes in an over-the-top ornate room or the curvier style in a sparse space. Totally chic.
