East London - Shoreditch and Hackney are very cool, also Angel nearby is a great area. I would suggest the antiques market in Camden passage behind Angel station, have a wander along the canal, stop at the pubs or coffee shops along the way. For good meal with amazing views head to Sushi Samba or Duck & Waffle in Heron Tower or the Shard. Hopefully this fantastic weather holds up and have fun! xdesign gratishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17209746073236150954noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4296235624601130259.post-13274642238523682572013-08-23T10:30:42.288-05:002013-08-23T10:30:42.288-05:00Definately go inside Buckingham Palace and KP. I love the V & A you can easily spend a whole day in there but check on their website to see if there are any specific exhihitons that you are intrested in because you usually have to book in advance. And as someone else has mentioned walk as much as you can because its easy to miss what's going on if you use the underground all of the time. Shopping along the Kings Road is also fun, and where all the locals go. I also second the day-trip to Bath...it's gorgeous. The Creperie of Hampstead and a film at the Queen of Hoxton (rooftopfilmclub.com). I would highly recommend the V&A museum, if for nothing else then to spend an hour staring at their fantastic jewelry collection. It's so worth it. I also liked the market in Greenwich much better then the Portobello, which felt very commercial. Yes to Portobello Market and a little stroll around charming Notting Hill. Primrose Hill is also a great neighborhood to spend a weekend day like a local between cafes and Regent's Park. Hampstead/Hampstead Heath is also lovely in North London - great shops, bookstores and restaurants and a huge open prairie with views over Central London. Check out The Holly Bush in Hampstead if you want the quintessential London pub in fantastic surroundings. Have fun!
